WHEREAS, Princeton has a need for a new jet truck for use by the Sewer Operations Department; and
WHEREAS, the vehicle chassis, a 2025 Kenworth T480 4x2 truck, is available on Sourcewell contract #032824-KTC, awarded to Gabrielli Truck Sales, which expires on July 9, 2028l; and
WHEREAS, the equipment necessary for the upfit, an 800-HPR Eco Series IV Truck Mounted Jet, is available on Sourcewell contract #101221-SCA, awarded to Sewer Equipment Co. of America, which expires on November 29, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Jet Vac Equipment is an authorized dealer for Sewer Equipment Co. of America; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.2 b. (3), Princeton may make purchases through the use of a nationally-recognized and accepted cooperative purchasing agreement that has been developed utilizing a competitive bidding process within the State of New Jersey, or within any other state; and
WHEREAS, Gabrielli Truck Sales has provided a proposal for the desired chassis in the amount of $146,720.31, and Jet Vac Equipment has provided a proposal for the desired equipment needed to upfit the vehicle as a jet truck in the amount of $231,079.01; and
WHEREAS, Princeton has documented the required due diligence to determine that the use of the cooperative purchasing agreement shall result in cost savings after all factors, including charges for service, material, and delivery, have been considered; and
WHEREAS, Princeton has reviewed the Sourcewell contracts and determined that they meet New Jersey's "fair and open" standards; and
