Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing an Increase of $105,817.03 to the Not to Exceed Amount for the Professional Services Agreement with Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC for Special Environmental Legal Services in 2025 for a New Not to Exceed Amount of $205,817.03

WHEREAS, by Resolution 25-339 adopted on October 8, 2025, Princeton Council awarded a professional services agreement to Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC for Environmental Legal and Litigation Services (the “Agreement”) for an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 and term from September 20, 2025, until December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, additional services were needed prior to the end of the contract term that exceeded the contract amount; and
WHEREAS, Princeton wishes to increase the contract amount $105,817.03 for a new not to exceed amount of $205,817.03; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funds are available to pay for said services from 01-203-20-155-279.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, hereby authorize the first amendment to the agreement originally authorized by Resolution 25-339 on October 8, 2025, to increase the not to exceed amount by $105,817.03 for a new not to exceed amount of $205,817.03.
2. All remaining provisions of the original agreement not otherwise amended by or inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
3. This Resolution, when countersigned by Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC, shall serve as the first amendment to the original agreement between the parties.
4. A copy of this resolution will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
5. Notice of this action shall be published in the official newspaper as required by law.
