Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Purchase of Three 2027 Ford F250 4x4 Utility Trucks from Ciocca Ford of Flemington for $195,886.00 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 24-FLEET-103122

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to purchase three (3) 2027 Ford F250 Regular Cab 4x4 Utility Trucks to replace older models used by the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, these vehicles are available on State Contract 24-FLEET-103122 by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property (“Division”) awarded to Ciocca Ford of Flemington; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Municipality of Princeton may, without publicly advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the Division; and
WHEREAS, Ciocca Ford of Flemington provided a proposal for three (3) vehicles as follows: two (2) 2027 Ford F250 Trucks with snowplows for $63,367.00 each and one (1) 2027 Ford F250 Truck with snowplows and a lift gate for $69,152.00 for a total purchase price of $195,886.00; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in the following accounts:
04-215-26-023-075-326 $150,000.00
04-215-26-023-075-325 $31,703.91
04-215-26-023-075-320 $14,182.09.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Ciocca Ford of Flemington for three (3) 2027 Ford F250 Regular Cab 4x4 Utility Trucks for $195,886.00 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 24-FLEET-103122 without public bidding as permitted by law.
2. A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
