Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Award of a Contract to Jet Vac Equipment for an HD Camera System, Software, and Equipment for Vehicle Upfit for $195,886.31 utilizing Sourcewell National Cooperative Purchasing Contract #080525-EVS

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton has a need to procure a camera, software, and equipment to upfit a vehicle for use by the Sewer Department; and
WHEREAS, the software and equipment are available on Sourcewell National Cooperative (“Sourcewell”) Contract #080525-EVS, which was awarded to Envirosight; and
WHEREAS, Jet Vac Equipment is an authorized dealer for Envirosight; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.2 b. (3), the Municipality of Princeton may make purchases through the use of a nationally-recognized and accepted cooperative purchasing agreement that has been developed utilizing a competitive bidding process within the State of New Jersey, or within any other state; and
WHEREAS, Jet Vac Equipment provided a proposal for the desired goods in the amount of $195,886.31; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton has documented the required due diligence to determine that the use of the cooperative purchasing agreement shall result in cost savings after all factors, including charges for service, material, and delivery, have been considered; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton has reviewed the Sourcewell contract and determined that it meets New Jersey’s “fair and open” standards; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton has obtained statutory required forms and confirmed that Jet Vac Equipment complies with New Jersey requirements; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with guidance from the State of New Jersey, an advertisement notifying the public of the intent to award a contract was published on September 4, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for these goods in account 04-215-26-024-089-301.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Jet Vac Equipment for an HD Camera, Software, and Associated Equipment for $195,886.31 without public bidding as permitted by law.
2. A copy of this Resolution, Pay-to-Play Forms, and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
