WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to upgrade the surveillance equipment at the Spring Street Garage; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mercer County Special Services School District Cooperative Pricing System (“MCSSSDCPS”) awarded contract 103-MCSSSDCPS-26-01 for Building Physical Security to Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc.; and

 

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton is a member of MCSSSDCPS; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.2b.(3) (as amended by P.L. 2011, c. 139) and LFN 2012-10, a New Jersey municipality may purchase goods and services without public bidding under the Local Public Contracts Law through the use of a nationally-recognized and accepted cooperative purchasing contract that has been developed utilizing a competitive bidding or contracting process by another contracting unit within New Jersey; and

 

WHEREAS, Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc. has provided a proposal for the desired equipment in the amount of $159,741.01; and

 

WHEREAS, the Certified Financial Officer has certified that Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in the following accounts:

 

06-215-24-015-303                     $80,000.00

06-215-25-005-301                     $70,000.00

06-215-25-005-302                     $9,741.01

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:

 

1.                     The Mayor and Council, or their designee, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc. for the Spring Street Garage Surveillance Overhaul for an amount not to exceed $159,741.01 without public bidding as permitted by law.

 

2.                     A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
