Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Extending the Consulting Agreement with Gabel Associates, Inc. for Energy Consulting Services for a Six-Month Term

WHEREAS, by Resolution 24-130 adopted on April 29, 2024, Princeton awarded an energy consulting agreement to Gabel Associates, Inc. (“Gabel”) utilizing the Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (“ACES”) Cooperative Pricing System (E88-01-ACESCPS) and ACESPLUS Program for Renewable Energy Consulting Services for a term of two years, beginning on July 30, 2024, until July 29, 2026 (“2024 Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, there is a need for Princeton to procure the services of an energy consultant to provide consulting services to Princeton in connection with its Community Solar Project, and Gabel is able to provide uninterrupted services to Princeton in furtherance of this Project; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality wishes to extend the 2024 Agreement with Gabel for Energy Consulting Services for a six-month term, beginning on July 30, 2026, until January 29, 2027; and
WHEREAS, there shall be no cost to Princeton during the duration of the 2024 Agreement, as extended, and all remaining provisions of the 2024 Agreement between the Municipality of Princeton and Gabel not inconsistent herewith shall remain the same, as more fully set forth in Gabel’s February 2, 2024, proposal and 2024 Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The current agreement between the Municipality of Princeton and Gabel Associates, Inc. for Energy Consulting Services is hereby extended for six months, that is, from July 30, 2026, to January 29, 2027.
2. There shall be no cost to Princeton during the duration of the extended term.
3. All other remaining provisions of the July 30, 2024, Agreement between the Municipality of Princeton and Gabel Associates, Inc., not inconsistent herewith shall remain the same.
4. This Resolution, when countersigned by Gabel Associates, Inc., shall serve as an extension of the original July 30th, 2024, Agreement.
