Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing an Increase of $40,845.00 to the Not to Exceed Amount for the Professional Services Agreement with French & Parrello Associates for Construction Administration and Inspection Services for the Rehabilitation/Replacement of Two Pedestrian Footbridges in the Mountain Lakes Preserve for a New Not to Exceed Amount of $216,831.00

WHEREAS, by Resolution 25-237 adopted on July 14, 2025, Princeton Council awarded a professional services agreement to French & Parrello Associates (“FPA”) for Construction Administration and Inspection Services for the Rehabilitation/Replacement of Two Pedestrian Footbridges in the Mountain Lakes Preserve for a not to exceed amount of $175,986.00 and term authorized for the length of time necessary for the completion of construction; and
WHEREAS, conditions uncovered during construction require additional engineering design and construction administration services; and
WHEREAS, FPA has provided a proposal for the additional services in the amount of $40,845.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funds are available to pay for said services from 04-215-25-006-075-305.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, hereby authorize the first amendment to the agreement originally authorized by Resolution 25-237 on July 14, 2025, to increase the not to exceed amount by $40,845.00 for a new not to exceed amount of $216,831.00.
2. All remaining provisions of the original agreement not otherwise amended by or inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
3. This Resolution, when countersigned by French & Parrello Associates shall serve as the first amendment to the original agreement between the parties.
4. A copy of this resolution will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
