Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Purchase of a 2027 Ford T250 High Roof Extended Cargo Van from Ciocca Ford of Flemington for $52,140.50 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 25-FLEET-109069

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to purchase a 2027 Ford T250 High Roof Extended Cargo Van for use by the Sewer Department; and
WHEREAS, this vehicle is available on State Contract 25-FLEET-109069 by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property (“Division”) awarded to Ciocca Ford of Flemington; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Municipality of Princeton may, without publicly advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the Division; and
WHEREAS, Ciocca Ford of Flemington provided a proposal for the desired equipment in the amount of $52,140.50; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in account 04-215-26-024-089-301.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Ciocca Ford of Flemington for a 2027 Ford T250 High Roof Extended Cargo Van for $52,140.50 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 25-FLEET-109069 without public bidding as permitted by law.
2. A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
