Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing and Amending Princeton Affordable Housing Home Improvement Program Loans-21 Birch Avenue (Block 6902, Lot 13)

WHEREAS, a component of the Princeton Affordable Housing Program (the "Program") involves providing home improvement and rehabilitation loans to income eligible households; and
WHEREAS, the Affordable Housing Manager has also been working with certain Program participants that were previously approved and enrolled in the Program, and for which a there was a change order increasing the loan approved by the Princeton Affordable Housing Manager and owner for heater work, as follows:
* 21 Birch Avenue (Block 6902, Lot 13), amending the total amount of the Loan from $12,690.00 previously approved by Resolution No. 24-346, adopted November 25, 2024, to $13,590, for the installation of a "Weil McLain 95% efficient evergreen condensing boiler vented to outside, a new expansion tank, autofill with backflow, new circulator and wiring including thermostat, installation of a gas line from the meter, and removal of existing boiler from site" and an oil tank removal. The change order is applicable to the boiler originally selected necessitating the subject amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Affordable Housing Manager finds the above-listed change order and work to be reasonable, appropriate and within the scope, intent and purpose of the Program and requests that the loans, amendments and payments associated thereto be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. As to 21 Birch Avenue (Block 6902, Lot 13):
a. The Princeton Affordable Housing Home Improvement Program Loan Application, totaling $13,590.00, is hereby authorized and approved.
b. The owner(s) of the property which is the subject of the Application shall execute a Mortgage Note and Mortgage in favor of the Municip...
