Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing an Increase of $100,000.00 to the Not to Exceed Amount for the Professional Services Agreement with Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC for Special Environmental Legal Services for a New Not to Exceed Amount of $265,000.00

WHEREAS, by Resolution 24-269 adopted on September 9, 2024, Princeton Council awarded a professional services agreement to Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC for Special Environmental Legal Services for a not to exceed amount of $165,000.00 and term of one year; and
WHEREAS, additional legal services will be needed during the term of this contract; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the additional legal services will not exceed $100,000.00, bringing the total contract to an amount not to exceed $265,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funds are available to pay for said services from 01-201-20-155-279.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, hereby authorize the first amendment to the agreement originally authorized by Resolution 24-269 on September 9, 2024, to increase the not to exceed amount by $100,000.00 for a new not to exceed amount of $265,000.00.
2. All remaining provisions of the original agreement not otherwise amended by or inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
3. This Resolution, when countersigned by Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC, shall serve as the first amendment to the original agreement between the parties.
4. Notice of this action shall be published in the official newspaper as required by law.
5. A copy of this resolution will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
