WHEREAS, in response to a Notice to Bidders duly advertised pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. on July 4, 2025, Princeton received and publicly opened the following bid for the On-Call Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Services for Pump Stations & Force Mains Bid:

 

Rapid Pump & Meter Service Company, LLC of Paterson, New Jersey - $195,412.50; and

 

WHEREAS, department personnel and the Qualified Purchasing Agent have reviewed the bids and determined that the bid submitted by Rapid Pump & Meter Service Company, LLC (“BIDDER”) is the lowest responsible and responsive bid and recommend that a contract be awarded to BIDDER; and

 

WHEREAS, the Certified Financial Officer certifies that Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for these services in budget account 04-215-22-018-089-302.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1.                     The Mayor and Council are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Rapid Pump & Meter Service Company, LLC for On-Call Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Services for Pump Stations & Force Mains for an amount not to exceed $195,412.50 for an initial term from the date of award until December 31, 2026, in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions within the Bid Documents, and subject to the availability of funds in subsequent budget years.

 

2.                     The Contract and Bid Documents will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
