Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing Tax Exempt Status for Various Properties in said Municipality

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 54:4-3.6 permits municipalities to grant real property tax exempt status to real property owned by the Trustees of Princeton University; and

 

WHEREAS, the Princeton Tax Assessor has determined that the following properties are entitled to tax exemption and should be added to the Tax Exempt List:

 

Bl. 19.02, Lt. 53 Location-22 Chambers Street

Bl. 19.02, Lt. 11 Location-34 Chambers Street

Bl. 41.01, Lt. 29 Location 25 Edwards Place

Bl. 45.01, Lt. 101 D106 Location 4 Woodland Way

Bl. 7401, Lt. 20 309 Harrison Street owned by Terhune Development LLC c/o Winn Development

 

 

WHEREAS, the Princeton Tax Assessor has determined that said properties are exempt from the payment of real property taxes pursuant to the above-referenced statute; and 

 

WHEREAS, the Princeton Tax Assessor wishes to designate said properties as real property tax exempt and the Princeton Tax Collector wishes to cancel the previously issued tax bills for said properties and refund any tax payments made on said properties.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton as follows:

 

1.                     The Princeton Tax Assessor is hereby authorized to designate the above-referenced properties as tax exempt.

 

2.                     The Princeton Tax Collector is hereby authorized to cancel the prior tax billings for said properties and refund any tax payments made on said properties.

 

3.                     A certified true copy of this Resolution shall be furnished by the Municipal Clerk to the Princeton Tax Assessor and the Princeton Tax Collector upon its adoption.
