Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Award of a Contract with Asphalt Paving Systems for 2026 Pavement Preservation Services for an Amount Not to Exceed $183,418.96 Utilizing New Jersey State Contract 17-GNSV2-00181

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to procure pavement preservation services; and

 

WHEREAS, paving services are available on State Contract 17-GNSV2-00181 awarded to Asphalt Paving Systems by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property (“Division”); and

 

WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Municipality of Princeton may, without publicly advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the Division; and

 

WHEREAS, Asphalt Paving Systems provided a proposal for the desired services in the amount of $183,418.96; and

 

WHEREAS, the Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in the following accounts:

04-215-19-021-076-353                     $5,471.55

04-215-23-021-076-338                     $73.41

04-215-24-014-076-337                     $9,631.42

04-215-26-023-076-330                     $168,242.58

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:

 

1.                     The Mayor and Council, or their designee, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Asphalt Paving Systems for 2026 Pavement Preservation Services without public bidding as permitted by law utilizing New Jersey State Contract 17-GNSV2-00181.

 

2.                     A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
