Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Award of a Contract to Gabrielli Truck Sales for Two (2) 2025 Kenworth T480 Compactor Trucks for $598,941.18 utilizing Sourcewell National Cooperative Purchasing Contract #032824-KTC

WHEREAS, Princeton has a need to procure a two (2) compactor trucks; and
WHEREAS, these vehicles are available on Sourcewell National Cooperative ("Sourcewell") Contract #032824-KTC; and
WHEREAS, the Sourcewell contract expires on July 9, 2028, and was awarded to Kenworth Trucks & Parts; and
WHEREAS, Gabrielli Truck Sales is an authorized dealer for Kenworth Trucks & Parts equipment; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.2 b. (3), Princeton may make purchases through the use of a nationally-recognized and accepted cooperative purchasing agreement that has been developed utilizing a competitive bidding process within the State of New Jersey, or within any other state; and
WHEREAS, Gabrielli Truck Sales provided a proposal for the desired vehicles in the amount of $299,470.59 each, for a total purchase price of $598,941.18; and
WHEREAS, Princeton has documented the required due diligence to determine that the use of the cooperative purchasing agreement shall result in cost savings after all factors, including charges for service, material, and delivery, have been considered; and
WHEREAS, Princeton has reviewed the Sourcewell contract and determined that it meets New Jersey's "fair and open" standards; and
WHEREAS, Princeton has obtained statutory required forms and confirmed that Cherry Valley Tractor Sales complies with New Jersey requirements; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with guidance from the State of New Jersey, an advertisement notifying the public of the intent to award a contract was published on May 16, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Certified Financial Officer has certified that Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for these goods in account 04-215-25-007-075-319.
