Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing a Contract with PMC Wireless, LLC for a Police Department Radio System Upgrade for an Amount Not to Exceed $475,000.00 Utilizing New Jersey State Contract 25-TELE-132990

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to upgrade the Police Department Radio System; and
WHEREAS, radio equipment is available on State Contract 25-TELE-132990 awarded to PMC Wireless, LLC by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property (“Division”); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Municipality of Princeton may, without publicly advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the Division; and
WHEREAS, PMC Wireless, LLC provided a proposal for the desired equipment and services in the amount of $475,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in account 04-215-26-023-053-315.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with PMC Wireless, LLC for a Radio System Upgrade for the Police Department for an amount not to exceed $475,000.00 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 25-TELE-132990 without public bidding as permitted by law.
2. A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
