Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Extension of the Professional Services Agreement with Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. for Documentation of Maintenance Holes in Flood Hazard Areas for the Length of Time Necessary for the Completion of the Actual Construction with No Change to the Contract Amount

WHEREAS, by Resolution 24-186 adopted on June 24, 2024, Princeton Council awarded a professional services agreement to Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. ("JMT") for Documentation of Maintenance Holes in Flood Hazard Areas for a not to exceed amount of $45,530.88 and term of one year; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 25-189 adopted on May 27, 2025, Princeton Council authorized an increase of $34,652.64 to the contract with JMT for a new not to exceed amount of $79,883.52; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15 (9), all contracts for professional services shall be awarded for a period not to exceed 12 consecutive months except that any public works project, including the retention of the services of any engineer in connection therewith, may be authorized for the length of time necessary for the completion of the actual construction; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Infrastructure and Operations has requested to extend the agreement term for the length of time necessary for the actual construction connected to JMT's agreement; and
WHEREAS, there will be no change to the contract amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, hereby authorize the second amendment to the agreement with Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. originally authorized by Resolution 24-186 on June 24, 2024, and amended by Resolution 25-189 on May 27, 2025, to extend the agreement term for the length of time necessary for the actual construction.
