Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Purchase of a Ventrac Multi-Purpose Machine from Creston Hydraulics Incorporated for $60,750.76 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 24-FLEET-123247

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to purchase a Ventrac Multi-Purpose Machine for several Public Works operations; and
WHEREAS, this equipment is available on State Contract 24-FLEET-123247 by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property (“Division”) awarded to Creston Hydraulics Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Municipality of Princeton may, without publicly advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the Division; and
WHEREAS, Creston Hydraulics Incorporated provided a proposal for the desired equipment in the amount of $60,750.76; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in account 04-215-26-023-075-323.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Creston Hydraulics Incorporated for a Ventrac Multi-Purpose Machine for $60,750.76 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 24-FLEET-123247 without public bidding as permitted by law.
2. A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
