Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Submission of the 2026 Community Development Block Grant Program Annual Action Plan

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton is qualified as a metropolitan city by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for Housing ("HUD"), and as such, is entitled to apply for Community Development Block Grants funds pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton was awarded $197,810 in Community Development Block Grant Entitlement funds for Program Year 2026;
WHEREAS, the 2026 Annual Action Plan serves as the Municipality of Princeton's application for Community Development Block Grant Program funding for FY2026, summarized in Attachment A; and
WHEREAS, the draft Annual Action Plan was published on the municipal website and otherwise made available to the public for review and comment beginning on August 25, 2026 and concluding on September 24, 2026
WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on September 9, 2026 to solicit feedback and comments from the community; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PRINCETON the Mayor is authorized to execute the Community Development Block Grant Program grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and all related Subrecipient and other agreements necessary to further the objectives of the 2026 Annual Action Plan.
