Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Purchase of Two 2026 Ford Maverick Vehicles from All American Ford of Paramus for $72,356.80 utilizing New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance Contract BC-BID 24-43

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Princeton wishes to purchase two (2) 2026 Ford Mavericks for use by the Health Department and Rental Housing Division; and
WHEREAS, these vehicles are available on the New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance ("NJCPA") contract BC-BID 24-43: Cars, Crossovers, Class 1-3 Pickup Trucks/Chassis, Sport Utility Vehicles and Vans, which was awarded to All American Ford of Paramus; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.2b.(3) (as amended by P.L. 2011, c. 139) and LFN 2012-10, a New Jersey municipality may purchase goods and services without public bidding under the Local Public Contracts Law through the use of a nationally-recognized and accepted cooperative purchasing contract that has been developed utilizing a competitive bidding or contracting process by another contracting unit within New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, All American Ford of Paramus provided a proposal for the desired vehicles in the amount of $72,356.80; and
WHEREAS, the Temporary Certified Financial Officer has certified that the Municipality of Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in accounts 04-215-26-023-190-351 and 04-215-26-023-190-350.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with All American Ford of Paramus for two (2) 2026 Ford Maverick vehicles to be used by the Health Department and Rental Housing Division for $72,356.80 utilizing New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance contract BC-BIC 24-43 without public bidding as permitted by law.
