Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Princeton Authorizing the Purchase of One (1) 2025 Ford 450 Crew Cab Vehicle and Equipment from Ciocca Ford of Flemington for $111,183.25 utilizing New Jersey State Contract 24-FLEET-88820

WHEREAS, Princeton wishes to purchase one (1) 2025 Ford 450 Crew Cab Vehicle with snowplow, salt spreader, and upfitting to be used as a Mason Dump Truck by the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the desired vehicle is available on State Contract 24-FLEET-88820 by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property (“Division”); and
WHEREAS, the Division contract term is October 4, 2024, through October 3, 2027, and was awarded to Ciocca Ford of Flemington (“Ciocca”), at 215 US Highway 202, Flemington, New Jersey 08822; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12 of the Local Public Contracts Law, Princeton may, without publicly advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under any contract for such goods and services entered into on behalf of the Division; and
WHEREAS, Ciocca provided a proposal for the desired vehicle and equipment in the amount of $111,183.25; and
WHEREAS, the Certified Financial Officer has certified that Princeton has appropriated sufficient funds for this equipment in account 04-215-25-007-075-321.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of Princeton, County of Mercer, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council, or their designee, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Ciocca Ford of Flemington, 215 US Highway 202, Flemington, New Jersey 08822 for one (1) 2025 Ford 450 Crew Cab Vehicle with snowplow, salt spreader, and upfitting to be used as a Mason Dump Truck for $111,183.25 without public bidding as permitted by law.
2. A copy of this Resolution and the contract will be kept on file in the Office of the Clerk.
